The Climbing Over Elefsina programme, run under the artistic direction of Eleftherios Kechagioglou, directed by Gaëtan Levêque, and choreographed by Christina Sougioultzi, brings together three Greek contemporary dance and circus artists from the “Ki Omos Kineitai” (And Yet It Moves) company with five circus artists and three musicians from France’s Le Plus Petit Cirque du Monde (The Littlest Circus in the World) – that renowned school of the “dangerous arts” also known for its international arts exchanges – to create a work inspired by the inhabitants and urban landscapes of Elefsina and Bagneux, France. This collective work is being realised in Elefsina’s communal spaces, with rehearsals open to be viewed by the public. In sum, this major work of artistic research and creation gathers together artists from the fields of contemporary dance, contemporary circus, and eastern and western Mediterranean music, all from Greece and France, for the creation of arts actions about public and private space, urban planning, and the multicultural social fabric of suburban cities. The initial research phases of this action were undertaken in October 2021 and June 2022.Tο πρόγραμμα Ακροβατώντας στην Ελευσίνα ήταν ένα έργο εμπνευσμένο από τους κατοίκους και το αστικό τοπίο της Ελευσίνας και του Μπανιέ της Γαλλίας. Η 2023 Ελευσίς Πολιτιστική Πρωτεύουσα της Ευρώπης σε συνεργασία με το Le Plus Petit Cirque du Monde, τη διάσημη σχολή «τεχνών κινδύνου» και διεθνών καλλιτεχνικών ανταλλαγών, παρουσίασε το Σάββατο 17 Ιουνίου το Μυστήριο 57 Ακροβατώντας στην Ελευσίνα, στο Ανοιχτό θέατρο Παλαιού Ελαιουργείου, στο πλαίσιο του διεθνούς πολυμεσικού Φεστιβάλ ΣΥΝΟΙΚΙΣΜΟΙ A FESTIVAL.
