Mystery 62 Nights of Slowness – Discourses about Time 6th edition
project
Description
Mystery 62 The Nights of Slowness, the pure philosophical enclave and legacy action of the 2023 European Capital of Culture programme, was part of the "Mysteries in plain sight" section. They were presented in 2018 for the first time in Elefsina, in collaboration with the French Institute of Greece, as part of an annual event of French Institutes from all over the world, dedicated to the exchange and circulation of ideas. 2023 Elefsis repeated and developed the action, titled "Nights of Slowness - Speeches on Time", presenting twice a year, under the light of the full moon, a series of original actions and speeches on the concept of time, always hosting distinguished guests. The sixth edition of the action event took place on 29th October 2023 in the chapel of Agios Nikolaos.
Entitled Poet & Time or The other side of time, the sixth edition of the action, curated by Elias Kounelas, focuses on POET and TIME, looking for that side of time that returns from the side of the poets to the world of the living.
Is it possible that poets return to us from the other side of time a time lived that we never lived or that we live late without knowing it.The first part of the evening will include a first screening of the documentary "The Return of E.H.Gonata's Return of H.H. Gonata" by Eva Stefani, while in the second part, the multifaceted thinker Savvas Michael and Emmanuel Plionis, astrophysicist and President of the National Observatory, will contribute to an interactive discussion with the participation of the audience. Finally, the actor and curator of the action, Ilias Kounela, will listen to verses by beloved poets related to the fragmentary All of Time.
