Mystery 65 Reframe Eleusis
project
Description
Mystery 65 Reframe Eleusis is a photography workshop in collaboration with the Hellenic Centre for Photography, which took place from June to October 2023 at the ""Leonidas Kanellopoulos"" Cultural Center.
The program's main objective was to familiarize the participants with the narrative role of photography, the expressive codes of the medium, and the method of participatory photography, through a dialogue of various creative techniques, such as photographic works, collages, oral histories, and texts. It focused on both the practical and theoretical aspects of photographic imagery, through an intensive program that included lectures, presentations, assignments for creative tasks, group outdoor photoshoots—tours, continuous monitoring, and critical approach—analysis of the participants' photographs.
The main instructor of the program was Myrto Papadopoulou, and the program coordinator was Manolis Moresopoulos. The courses were taught by creators with extensive teaching experience. The program was further strengthened by guest speakers with artistic work and expertise in specific thematic fields.
Upon completion of the workshops, a collective photo zine was created with selected material, and the results of the workshops were presented in April 2024 at Cine Eleusis during a specially organized event as part of the action Mystery 176 Cinema Days.
