Mystery 189 Myths and Legends of Elefsina: The Mysteries of Clay was a series of pottery workshops, that were carried out at the Elefsina Old Town Hall on June by the recognised artist Athanasios Katsaras. It was a multi-dimensional and multi-layered project concerning Greek pottery that included artistic production, research work, public participation, installations in public space and educational activities. The aim was both to enhance the city of Elefsina’s cultural self-awareness based on actual instances of cultural production and to enhance the city’s role as a permanent hub of artistic creation, a concern of the entire Downtown Creatives programme in the creative economy sector.
The project took place as part of the SYNOIKISMOI A FESTIVAL.
In the context of IN SITU REALITIES Eleusis Documentary Festival, a video-documentary including the Mystery 189 Myths and Legends of Elefsina: The Mysteries of Clay (SMALL SCREEN 1, MYSTERIES: One Year in One Our).
